Summer In Review {2019}

Hey guys! Can we just start this post off by saying the last day of school felt like just yesterday!? Guys, it’s been such an amazing summer and I’m so excited to share about 15 highlights of my summer with you all today!

1. Going to Kansas City & St. Louis.

Right after summer break started my family went on vacation to visit our cousins in Kansas City and on the way back we stopped in St. Louis, visited the Cathedral and the Arch! πŸ™‚

2. Many photoshoots with my sister.

This summer my sister and I did so many photoshoots together. It’s kind of become a habit whenever we are at a neat place or get a new outfit.

3. 4th of July celebration.

I already wrote a post on this, so I won’t go into too much detail on this, but we went to a big party with friends, and also went to a campground to celebrate with family.

4. Got my braces off and my hair chopped.

These are both kind of random and exciting at the same time. πŸ˜‰ I got my braces off in late June, and my hair cut the last week of July.

5. Read many books.

I really tried to read more this summer, and I’m happy to say that I did! Some of my favorites were, Business Boutique by Christy Wright, Girl Defined by Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird, and Graceful by Emily P. Freeman.

6. Wrote many letters to my pen-pals.

I’ve been trying to improve how long it takes me to reply to my penpals over the summer. Hopefully I’ll be able to continue it into the fall. πŸ˜‰

7. Went to summer camp.

Eeep, this was definitely a highlight of my summer! This was my first year going, and it was absolutely amazing, what a fun surprise and dream come true! ❀

8. Wrote 23 blog posts and many daily posts on SP daily.

I’m honestly really happy with how consistent my posting schedule was this summer. Posting on Tuesday’s and Friday’s seemed to work really well over the summer and I’m hoping to continue it into the fall.

9. Started collaborating with Etsy shops and businesses.

When I first started contacting Etsy shops to see if they’d be open to the possibility of collaborating I got almost no replies. Maybe one or two for every 50 requests. But I’m so happy I kept going and kept trying. It’s definitely nerve-wracking at first, but it’s such an accomplishment when you’re on the other side.

10. Made many ATC’s.

Making art, especially ATC’s is such a good outlet for me, and something I love doing. And I actually finished my ATC wall a few weeks ago, and I’m excited to share it with you soon!

11. Worked on my Etsy business.

Over the summer I really worked on refocusing my Etsy shop, and I’m SO EXCITED for the new products that are coming soon!

12. Started listening to podcasts.

Over the summer I really developed a love for listening to podcasts. They are so fun and just really relaxing to listen to. One of my favorites is Christy Wright’s Business Boutique podcast. (thanks to Aria for the recommendation πŸ™‚ )

13. Did many golden hour photoshoots.

Golden hour is always so fun to photograph. I love the dreamy warm lighting πŸ’›

14. Celebrated my birthday.

I didn’t really do much for my birthday this year, but it was nice having a little party with family and going out for dinner with my parents.

15. Made SO MANY aesthetics.

Aesthetics are just seriously so much fun, and so relaxing to make. I love making color themed ones or just themed ones in general. Look out for a post full of fall aesthetics in the next few weeks!

What a great summer this has been! What did you guys do this summer? As always, I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
