DIY Holiday Wreath!

Bonjour! Today I’m gonna show you how to make a super fun and festive holiday wreath! I know its only like 2 days till Christmas but I’ve actually had the idea for this post for awhile and just got around to publishing it now! Anyway, let’s get started!

 

So this is pretty simple and straightforward, but you can add your own fun twists to it!

Here is what you will need to make a wreath like mine:

• Foam wreath form (found at the dollar store)
• Cotton fabric (preferably white, mine has little gold dots)
• White ribbon (I just used scraps from what I already had)
• Red ribbon (for hanging, optional)
• Hot glue gun
• Fabric Scissors
• *Your ornament (bulb**, glittery word, etc)

*I used a glittery word ornament.

**I highly recommend buying a plastic ornament instead of a breakable one. If you do use a breakable ornament, don’t put it on a door that is frequently used. XD

Not too many right?

 

 

Another great thing, that I forgot to mention is that this wreath only costs around $5 and it only takes 10-15 minutes to make. It would be great for a Girl Scout Troup or another similar group to make for Christmas!

So first you need to heat up your glue gun and cut some long strips of fabric. The strips don’t have to be perfect, mine are about 1 1/2″ to 2″ long.

First, start by gluing one of the fabric strips to the foam wreath

Then start wrapping the fabric around the foam wreath

I put in the Joy ornament just so you could get a taste of what the finished wreath would look like.

Here is the wreath when you’ve finished wrapping

I actually ended up using white ribbon to attach the ornament. Anyway here is the finished wreath!

So that was pretty easy right? It only took me around 10 minutes to make and hang on my door!

Also, just a quick note that I will be posting in the afternoon on SUNDAY, CHRISTMAS EVE. I am way to busy on Christmas and I thought it would be better to post on Christmas Eve, rather than on Christmas.

I will also be posting my Christmas Haul post on Wednesday. Then the schedule should be back to the normal Monday’s and Friday’s!
