Why did you start blogging in the first place?

I started my toy blog, Stuffie Adventures, with my older sister in order to have someplace to share all the stories/adventures we’d conjured based off of our 20+ stuffed animals! A few months later, I started personal blogging when I decided I wanted a place where I could post writing, photography, articles, and reflections of my own, and I decided to create a separate blog for this.

Any tips for other bloggers? 

It’s quality over quantity! I can’t stress how important this is; though you should definitely try to post as consistently as possible, make sure your posts are the best you can make them 🙂 A few other tips are to have a nice design that won’t hurt your reader’s eyes and to connect with other bloggers (it’s nice to support them, plus they’re more likely to support you back — a win-win situation!)

What will you be posting on your new blog?

A jumble of randomness and fun! It’ll be mainly centered around writing, where I’ll share some of my writings, writerly updates, articles, and more. But you may also expect photography, posts about life, and ponderings/reflections.

What inspired you to choose the name you chose? Well, one morning I was writing a poem in my journal about “the song of my heart” I actually really liked the poem, and I was thinking how cool it would be if there was a blog called “Song Of My Heart.” Fast forward a few months later, and I was considering revamping my former personal blog. I immediately knew Song Of My Heart would be perfect as my new blog name, but unfortunately it was already taken, so I went for the second alternative: Tunes Of My Heart.

What is your favorite hobby? 

Just one?! I have a ton of hobbies. XD But one of my favorites is definitely writing. I’m not sure if I’ll always love photography, videography, crafts, graphic design — my interests my shift over time — but writing is something that drew me in and has never let me out. Most of my spare time is spent writing stories, composting poems, or daydreaming up new plot ideas!

Favorite color? 

Light pink! I especially like it if it’s paired with gold. 🙂

Do you enjoy art? 

YES! I love art, especially when I’m doing it with my artist older sister: whether it’s graphic, acrylics, watercolors, charcoal, pastels, or crafts and DIY’s!

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Snobby people and people who don’t smile. They annoy me SO much…like, why?! I dislike it when I’m snubbed aside by someone who doesn’t take me seriously, and I dislike it even more when people just never smile — though I usually just end up smiling extra to cover up for them. XD

What is your favorite food?

I can never decide. XD But I really love croissants – they’re just so flakey and buttery and yummy….

What are some of your favorite books?

Aside from the Bible, I enjoy To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, The Giver by Lois Lowry, The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare the Anne of Green Gables series by Lucy Maud Montgomery, among others.

Do you enjoy writing shorts stories? 

Yes, I love writing short stories! I’m not very good at it quite yet, but I’m learning. 😀
