12 Lifestyle Tips For Teenage Girls 2020

Hey guys! I did a post on lifestyle tips for teenage girls last year around this time, and it was super popular, so here I am! I’ve included some tips from last time and also a ton of new tips. Here are 12, non-cheesy, non-cliche and actually helpful lifestyle & fashion tips for teenage girls!

Make your playlist as long as your workout. I know, this might seem a little obvious or unnecessary, but it’s actually super helpful! Not having to restart your playlist or find something else to listen to while in the middle of a workout will give you motivation to finish and not quit!

Change all your hangers to the same color/style for a less-cluttered feel. I read this somewhere and didn’t believe it until I actually tried it. Guys, it works so well! I bought some white velvet hangers and my closet looks so much cleaner and more cohesive. It’s actually enjoyable to go in there now!

Use command hooks to hang things. If you don’t want to ruin your newly painted wall, then use command hooks/sheets to hang things. This is also helpful if you’re not sure where you want to hang something.

Set rewards for yourself for accomplishing things. Need some extra motivation? Commit to rewarding yourself for accomplishing tasks. The rewards don’t have to be huge, or expensive. It could be as simple as watching a new show or movie!

Set several alarms for yourself 5 minutes apart. Anybody else hit the snooze button multiple times? I think that sometimes we don’t even mean to, we just aren’t completely awake yet and it happens. If I really need to be up, then I’ll set quite a few alarms 5 minutes apart, so eventually I’ll get tired of hitting snooze, and get up. XD

Set a reminder on your phone to clean the surface of it. We all know that phones are super dirty surfaces, and we should clean them more often, right? But it’s such an easy thing to forget, so to help you remember, set an alarm or a reminder on your phone to clean it daily.

Buy stickers for your waterbottle/laptop on Amazon. Waterbottles and laptops are expensive, without even mentioning the stickers everyone seems to put on them. I love buying stickers on Etsy and other places, but it’s hard to beat Amazon. You can basically buy 50 stickers on Amazon for the price of 1 or 2 at other places.

Create a WordDoc (or similar document on your computer) for storing all your important Math/Science formulas. Guys, this is sooo helpful! Having a formula sheet is super helpful for remembering all the new formulas in school. This way, you won’t have to go searching through your entire notebook to find a formula.

Make a bedroom cleaning checklist, and set it as a reminder ever week. Do always forget to sweep your bedroom carpet? Or forget to clean your desk? Set a reminder on your phone to clean your room every week.

Create a list of questions, and memorize them for when you meet new people. Okay, so I know this sounds a little ridiculous, but seriously. It is so helpful. Especially for when you meet new people and have absolutely NO IDEA what to say. This is also helpful for talking with people you don’t know well or don’t see often.

Spend more money on clothes that will last you for forever. Guys, fast fashion is such a real thing. Many people spend $$$$ on fast fashion every year, for things that they’ll wear only a few times. If you’re into buying more trendy pieces, then spend more money on investment pieces, like jeans, shirts, cardigans and things that you’ll wear for a long time. Then spend a little money on more trendy, fast fashion items.

Eat before you eat. If you know that you’ll be at a party or other event with a lot of unhealthy food, then eat some healthy food at home before you leave. If you’re already slightly full, then you most likely won’t eat as much unhealthy food.

I hope these tips are helpful for you guys! If you guys enjoyed this post, then make sure to share it with your friends on Pinterest. Just use the sharing buttons below!

  1. I liked these tips! The alarms five minutes apart is definitely something I’m going to try. I’m one of those people who is an absolute zombie in the mornings, so I have a really tough time getting up when I’d like to. 😛

    1. Hi Becky, I think that all of these tips would be helpful to at least some teenage girls. While every tip might not be relevant to every girl, they are generally intended for teenage girls. 🙂

  2. These are all great tips, especially the one about making a list of questions to ask new people! Let’s be real, teenagers aren’t the best at conversations. XD Thanks for posting these!

  3. I totally agree with the 1st tip! I am NEVER motivated to work out so exercising along with my favourite songs make me more happy to exercise. Also, the one about same colour hangers (I never do that) I have everything from black to pink hangers and it’s starting to get on my nerves! I’ll totally get hangers of the same colour! Thanks

  4. I love these tips so much! I like to use reminders on my phone to stay on top of things that I forget about far too much, might need to use the cleaning my phone screen one because I never do that and it’s so important, especially right now. I love the idea you’ve given for questions and essentially talking points when meeting new people! I struggle when it comes to meeting people and it’s not necessarily cause I’m shy just more worried I say the wrong thing! Maybe you could suggest some questions and talking points for these kind of situations?? Really good post:))x
