NCYC 2019 Experience (Travel Blog)

Hey guys! I’m super excited to share today’s post with you all! This past weekend I got to go to the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) and AHH, it was sooo fun! I loved getting to hang out with some of my AMAZING friends (some didn’t end up getting to go, which was sad, BUT you’ll have to come in 2021) and meeting some new ones! Let’s get into it!

Day 1 – Thursday:

Thursday was mostly just a travel day, we didn’t have TOO long of a bus ride, but it did feel a little long toward the end. XD

We arrived around 3:30 and dropped off our luggage at the hotel. Then we were headed over to the convention center, then to the stadium!

At the convention center.
The long line to get into the stadium.

Annnd, the opening night was For King and Country! EEEP! It was such a good performance, this was my second time seeing them live, and they never fail to impress!

After King and Country played, there was an opening ceremony type thing, and then we went to our hotel, checked into our rooms, and eventually went to sleep.

Day 2 – Friday

Friday began with an opening session, then a keynote speaker, who was SOOO GOOD! Oh my word!

After the keynote speaker and morning session, there were different breakout sessions you could choose. Our group went to one about forgiveness, which was super good and meaningful! I’m so glad we chose that one! 😀

I think we went to another breakout session Friday as well, but I don’t have any other pictures of that. Whoops! 🤦‍♀️

After the breakout sessions, we had another full evening in the stadium! Lots of music, dancing, and amazing speakers!

Guys, the rush to get into the stadium was insane! XD

Day 3 – Saturday

Saturday was our last day at the conference, and we started it out with a morning session in the stadium.

The rush inside the convention hall.

After the morning session & keynote speaker, we attemped to go see the screening of I Still Believe (it’s coming out in March, if you haven’t see the trailer, you can see it here!) but unfortunately all 3 times it was full. Oh well, we decided that we’ll go see it in March when it comes out, which will be fun! Doesn’t it look like such a good movie though!?

Since we didn’t get to see the movie we decided to go explore a little bit which was super fun!

Then we had the closing session that night + Mass, which was super fun! Ahh, what a great trip this was!

^ I love when everyone turned their phone lights on, it was sooo pretty!

And I think that’s it. I didn’t get any pictures on the bus ride home, mostly because there wasn’t much to see honestly, since I sat in the back and talked with friends the entire time. 😂

I hope you guys enjoyed reading through this, if you’d like to see more lifestyle posts like this, then just let me know in the comments below!

Also, sorry for missing an entire week of posting 🤦‍♀️ I was at the conference last weekend, then I was sick all this week. Hopefully I’ll be more consistent these next few weeks. 😉
