Fall 2019 – Favorite Music & Little Reflections

Hey guys! Who else likes to change up they style of music they listen to for each season? Some of my favorite artists / bands this fall are Rend Collective, Lauren Daigle, Rich Mullins and many more which I’ll be sharing with you throughout this post.

I hope you guys enjoy these, I know I always love new music recommendations. All of the links are to YouTube, but (most of) the songs are available on Spotify, Amazon Music and the like. 😉

Now I See – The McClures | The Way Home

This song is about a man born blind, and I love how they included a little nod to Crowder’s old song “I Saw The Light” I do like how it’s a little more peaceful and melodic, with still that gospel-y hint.

We Are Not As Strong As We Think We Are – Rich Mullins

This is kind of a hard song to explain, honestly. It’s such a beautiful song though, and I think if you listen to it, you can kind of get a feel for the meaning a little bit more than I could explain.

Turn Your Eyes – Lauren Daigle

I love how this song has so many gospel roots in it, but it has all the modern accents and such. I love how peaceful and unique it is to listen too.

My Lighthouse – Rend Collective

This might be more of a summery song, but I love it for fall, as I do so many of Rend Collective’s songs. This one brings me back to long hot days at summer camp, we’d sing this song pretty much everywhere….at the lake….during church….in the middle of a rain storm….at a camp wide cabin party at midnight while it poured down rain. Heh. Heh. Good times.

If I Stand – Rich Mullins

I love the peacefulness of this song. ❤ It talks about standing on Christ and all His promises in the midst of hardship.

Fighting For Me (Piano Version) – Riley Clemmons

Ooh, I love this song! I prefer the piano version for fall as it’s more melodic and less “pop song” if you know what I mean. 😉

Celebrate – Rend Collective

This one is kind of a good fun campfire song! I love the upbeat tune!

This Girl – Lauren Daigle

I’ve loved this song since if first came out around this time last fall. It’s such a good reminder that Jesus is the center of our lives no matter what. I love the line that says, “I’ve searched the world to find that my heart is yours” In this busy season of fall I know that I definitely need that reminder. ❤

Many Roads – Andrew Peterson

I really feel like this is the perfect song for fall. It’s like we’ve ended up at this place and now we kind of get to reflect over our year before the business of the holiday’s comes.

Tender Hurricane – The McClures | The Way Home

This song talks about how the love of God is a “tender hurricane” which I think is a beautiful analogy. God’s love is so great and so big, but also so kind and so tender. I love this song. ❤

Be Kind To Yourself – Andrew Peterson

Ah, what a sweet song this is! I love how peaceful it is, and how it’s written from a father to his children. I think it’s a wonderful representation of God speaking to us – His children.

Issac – Hollyn

If this isn’t my favorite song by Hollyn, it’s definitely very close. She captures the emotion of praising God so amazingly. I love the focus of the story of Abraham saying, “I’m faithful to you Lord and you’re faithful to me.”

Live Alive – Rend Collective

This is kind of a more spring sounding song, but I wanted to included it, because 1) For some reason the music video (linked above) has a kind of fall campfire feel, and 2) Because it’s just a really good song for any season. 🍁

Only Have One – The McClures | The Way Home

I love how this song talks about how there is only one true God. Like all of Christianity is unified through that. In this day and age when there is so much division in belief the one thing that every Christian can agree on is that there is only one true God. What a lovely melody as well. 🙂

Fun (random) Fact: It took (roughly) me listening to this entire playlist once to find, edit and upload the photos and another time listening to the entire playlist through to write the little reflections for each song. Heh. Heh. 😛

I hope you guys enjoyed this, and I’d love to hear some of your favorite music in the comments below! 🙂

Have a wonderful week!

💙 Hannah

  1. Cool! I’ve never heard any of these songs(I’m not really into Christian music, idk why, though! It seems like it would be good, and some of my friends have been trying to get me into it) anyway, I like Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello, and Sabrina Carpenter to name a few. I loved all of these pictures too!

  2. If I Stand is one of my favorite songs! I hadn’t heard of We Aren’t as Strong as We Think We Are (wow that’s a long title), but I love most of the Rich Mullins songs I’ve heard so I’ll have to check it out! Some of my other favorites are Overture by Sleeping At Last and We’re Gonna Be Alright by Switchfoot. 🙂 Thank you for the recommendations!
