Hey guys! One of my favorite things to do is find and read new books. When I’m into a book, I’ll usually read it once or twice, than not pick it up for a year. Haha. Recently I’ve been reading so many great books, (some of which you guys actually recommended π and others that I’ve found on my own) and I’m so excited to be sharing them with you all today!
Grace for the Good Girl by Emily P. Freeman
Guyss, (or rather girls XD) this is such a good book! I absolutely love Emily’s style of writing, and her message is great. There is so much biblical truth in it, which I loved. Also, did you notice that the book cover design kind of matches my new blog design. π
Girl Defined by Kristen Clark and Bethany Beal
This is another one that I absolutely love. I read it quite some time ago, but I still remember how powerful the message was, and just how relatable it is. It covers topics of beauty, modesty, how to have a relationship with God, and so much more.
It’s My Pleasure by Dee Ann Turner
This probably wouldn’t fall into the typical “motivational books” category, (it would be more like “business”) but I actually personally thought it was super motivational, and if you are a Chick-Fil-A fan, it’s definitely a fun read. It has both business advice, but also life advice, plus a lot about how Chick-Fil-A started. Now that I’m thinking about it, I should probably read it again.
The Thoughtful Girl’s Guide by Mary Sheehan Warren
Despite all other great books out there, this might be my favorite. (maybe XD) It has seriously has everything in it: etiquette, fashion, relationships, communication, friends, and so much more! Again, I love her style of writing, and all of the biblical elements that are in it.
Do Hard Things by Alex & Brett Harris
After countless people recommending it to me, I finally decided to read it. And wow, just wow. It’s definitely something every teen needs to read, and I love how it’s written by teens, as so many teen motivational books aren’t.
The Daring Books for Girls by Andrea Buchanan and Miriam Peskowitz
So these really aren’t “christian motivational” books so to speak, but they are certainly fun! These books are full of practical advice, from how to start a magazine to how to draw constellations. If you want a book that you can open and learn something new every time, than this is your book. π
Business Boutique by Christy Wright
This really is one amazing book! Christy goes step by step through everything you need to do to set up a successful business, and to get it up and running. What I love most about this book is it’s not just “how to start a business” it’s a step by step guide to creating and running a business.
What are some of you guys’ favorite motivational books? (I’m always looking for new books π ) Have you heard of these books?
Also, I’m working on changing a few things up around here, (if you aren’t already, go to my actual site to see the new design π ) and I’d love if you guys could take this quick survey (I promise it’ll only take a few minutes) to give me some feedback about this blog, and some future projects! π

Yay, you read Girl Defined, Do Hard Things, and Business Boutique! Did you know that Christy has a podcast as well? You should definitely check it out. I’m so glad you loved those, because they really were good. π

I need to read more nonfiction π I’ve heard tons of good things about Girl Defined and Do Hard Things, which are both on my TBR shelf, but which I haven’t gotten around to.
Also, hey!! I came to your blog from your comment on Maggie’s blog, Dreaming of Guatemala, and i love the aesthetic and colors!

I have read Girl Defined and liked it. Their other book, Love Defined, is so great as well! Maybe even better.
A book I recently read and loved is Amazing Grace, by Erik Metaxas. It isn’t exactly a motivational book since it is a biography, but it is very inspiring! It’s about the life of William Wilberforce who was an amazing christian man and a member of British parliament back in the late 18th/early19th century. He was instrumental in ending the British slave trade in 1807 (and eventually the abolition of slavery in Britain in 1833.) I quite liked this book and very much admire Wilberforce. If you know what Hoopla is, you can get the audio book on there. I very much recommend it!

I watched the movie a few weeks back and enjoyed it, but the book is better as it tell things in more detail. Plus, some things weren’t exactly like in the movie. (as is with most movies π ) I hope you can read it!
