A Summer of Memories // Summer Review 2018

Hello again friends! I know that most people would consider it summer until at least after Labor Day, but to me summer ends next weekend. I’ll explain why in a minute, but for now, let’s just think of how awesome this summer has been! My summer has been full of various camps, swimming, photography, and of course writing my novel.

The reason why I say that summer is almost over is because I’m starting school on the 13th. Honestly I cannot believe it. It feels like just yesterday it was May 25th and we were out of school. 2 days ago I finished my last camp with a barrel, flag and obstacle competition on horseback, my team finishing 1st.

This gives me 1 more week until school starts, which in my opinion marks the end of summer. Even if I’m swimming on September 4th.

Anyway, this isn’t a summer rant, it’s a summer of memories, so let’s get those memories started!!! 😀

Taking lots and lots of pictures.

And so much more!

For me this summer has been super busy, in some ways it’s been nice, and in other ways it hasn’t been nice.

I think the biggest thing that I’ve learned this summer is: You can’t control or change  other people or often things. What’s beyond your power is beyond your power. There are some things you just have to live with. It’s good to have a plan, but you have to be ready for it to change.

And honestly I think I’m still learning those things, but hopefully I’ve made some progress.

Now off to go finish writing!!

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Hannah, looks like you had a busy, and fun, summer.
It also looks like you are making progress on your book. Congratulations!
My husband has been writing his book for over five years. Lots of editing & reediting. LOL

Well hopefully you’ll have fun learning this year.

Btw, I love hotdogs cooked on a grill, and S`Mores, too!!
