Paint and Pens #8

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Paint and Pens episode! Today we will be making some super cute little pumpkins! This project is so super easy and super duper fun!

We will be using a needle and some yarn to make these pumpkins, but don’t get intimidated! Even if you don’t know how to sew you will still love making these 🙂

Start out by tracing around a round plate or dish.

Cut out the circle and thread a needle with some yarn.

Use the pictures below to help you with sewing around the edge of the circle.

Once you have finished sewing all around the edge of the fabric (DON’T TIE OFF) It is time to stuff 🙂

Begin with some rice, I am thinking for a very small pumpkin that about 1/2 a cup of rice is good. A 5-inch pumpkin would need 3/4 cup.

Then add on top the stuffing.

Now it is time to make it look like a pumpkin (it doesn’t look like much of one now, does it) Pull your sewing string to gather up the pumpkin.

While you are gathering leave a little hole at the top so you can glue in a small twig.

Glue in the twig with hot glue! 🙂

Lastly, I wrapped my string around the twig and tied it off.

And here is the finished thing 🙂

And here is a little posed photo of it 🙂
